This course provides an overview of the current (Cyber) Security requirements stemming from the Global and European Regulatory Framework. It helps participants to understand the legislative requirements from ICAO, SES legislation, their implementing rules, and the measures to be taken from the NSA/ANSP for their implementation. It gives the participants a basic understanding to conduct the effective Security Oversight activities and verify the compliance of the ANSP with the latest (cyber) security requirements.
It explains the entire oversight process and introduction of roles and responsibilities of the inspectors/auditors engaged in this role.
Prerequisites
NSA staff following the NSA Training Programme shall have successfully completed all mandatory elements of the programme before attempting this course. Other staff should have a basic understanding of an NSA functions in order to fully understand the course.
Important Note
This course is meant for audit team leaders. More detailed cyber security knowledge can be acquired in SEC-CYBER-MS and SEC-CYBER
Objectives
After completing the course, participants will have a basic understanding of the main (Cyber) Security Regulations in force and their requirements. They will be able to understand the security oversight process and the aspects which need to be considered in the context of the oversight of the security management systems implemented by ANSPs.
Audience
This course is designed for those working within an NSA and is an optional element of the NSA Training Initiative. It may also be of interest to staff working for other civil or military ATM security regulatory bodies or for ATM service provider organisations.
