Introduction to Air Traffic Flow and Capacity Management [ASM-ATFCM]
Classroom CourseCourse further information
Air traffic flow and capacity management (ATFCM) has become a vital part of air traffic management (ATM). ATFCM enables the full capacity of the air transport system to be exploited without running the risk of safety being infringed as a result of overload situations. The Network Manager Operation Centre (NMOC), with all its supporting personnel and systems, together with the local flow management positions (FMPs) in the area control centres, will continue to be vital elements in the management of these important functions, in conjunction with the airports community and the airline operators (AOs). The course provides an overview of the functions and procedures applicable to this area, and highlights the roles and responsibilities of the main actors.
