This course provides a framework for setting up contingency and crisis management measures. It addresses the safety and business continuity aspects of large-scale exceptional situations, based on the EUROCONTROL Guidelines for Contingency Planning of Air Navigation Services. Topics that are specifically addressed are risk assessments, how to prepare a cost-benefit analysis, as well as important matters which can arise during a crisis situation.
After completion of the course, participants will have an understanding of a contingency and crisis management framework and will be able to apply risk assessment and cost-benefit analysis processes for contingency measures.
This course is designed for all management and staff working in areas that have to deal with large-scale operational disruptions.
