The course will provide attendees with a thorough insight in the overall regulatory scenario related to RPAS. The course is not intended to provide attendees with skills to execute specific operational and/or regulatory tasks.
In particular, the course aims at  providing the landscape of evolving standards, requirements and rules at ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), JARUS (Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems), FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and European level (industrial standards for manufacture and operation of RPAS and competence of remote pilots are also included).
Important Note
This is a virtual classroom course scheduled over three consecutive days.
The total effort expected from the course participants is 15 hours.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

- familiarise attendees with the key principles of emerging rules across the aviation domains (organisations, airworthiness, competence of remote pilots, operations, detect and avoid, command and control link, airspace integration etc.);
-inform on expected developments at international level and on the rules applicable in Europe both at common and national level;
- provide attendees with a basic understanding of the safety related aspects of operations involving non-military RPAS. In particular, safety issues and safety assessment methodologies specifically related to RPAS operations will be addressed.
Professionals from industry wishing to acquire familiarisation with drone rules, or wishing to understand the regulatory context around their specific task.
Staff of aviation authorities (potentially) dealing with non-military drones for policy development, rulemaking, certification, licensing and oversight.
