The regulatory context in the AIS/AIM domain [IM-REG]

Virtual Course
The aim of this course is to give a general overview of the global, regional and national regulatory frameworks affecting the AIS/AIM domain. The course focuses on the ICAO SARPS, on the new Regulation (EU) 2017/373 (Part-AIS) and it discusses consolidated understandings and possible approaches to address the States  obligations. You can complement this course with the course IM-AIDE: Aeronautical Information in the Digital Environment to gain an insight into the practical aspects of the digital aeronautical data and information supply chain.
Important Note
This is a new course, starting to be delivered during the second semester of 2020.

Two sessions a day, lasting no longer than 2 hrs each
Objectives
After completing the course, participants should be able to:
  • Have a detailed understanding of:
    • The different regulations directly affecting the AIS/AIM domain
    • The main aspects of the transition from Regulation 73/2010 (ADQ) to Regulation 2017/373
  • Explain the main regulatory developments directly affecting the AIS/AIM domain
  • Apply possible approaches to address the State obligations stemming from the regulations directly affecting the AIS/AIM domain

Anybody interested in getting an overview of the regulations directly affecting the AIS/AIM domain, in particular those working for competent authorities and providers of aeronautical information services.
