Operational Supervisor [HUM-SUP]
Classroom CourseCourse further information
The skills required to supervise an operations room are very different from those needed to provide air traffic services. This course is designed to facilitate the transition of ATS staff into supervisory roles. The course enables supervisors to follow a systematic process that gives appropriate consideration to all aspects of their role and links their performance to the internal and external environments. The course uses facilitation and teaching techniques to develop participants’ knowledge on subjects such as role and responsibilities of the supervisor, communication, motivation, leadership, stress, safety management, conflict management and managing change. An interactive learning environment combines theory and practice, enabling the participants to share experiences and learn from each other. Role plays, videos and group exercises are used to enable participants to reflect on their own attitudes in the operational context.
