CCA Process Review [HUM-CCA-PR]

Virtual Course
Having delivered the CCA and CCA-R courses for many years, along with the OJTI and OJTI-R; there were certain common questions from participants on these courses that the Instructors at IANS considered needed further in-depth discussion and evaluation. These "hot topics" have been grouped together into this new virtual course:
  • CCA Practical Assessment - Continuous or Dedicated?
  • CCA Oral Assessment - Pro's and Con's of a formal Oral Assessment.
  • CCA & OJTI Assessment of Performance - Variables in the process.
Many elements of the course are as relevant to the OJTI as well as the CCA role and this will be discussed throughout the course.
The most important aspect of the course is to evaluate the processes used by different Units/ANSP's/States to structure their CCA and OJT and ask the question "Is it still fit for purpose?", "What are its strengths and weaknesses?" and "How to mitigate against any perceived weakness?".
These are extremely important questions needing addressed and the rationale behind this course.
Important Note
3 sessions of 90 mins each. These sessions are scheduled at a fixed time of the day spanning over 3 consecutive days.
Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will have a better understanding of the processes involved in CCA and to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of these processes and understand mitigative actions.
