Operational Supervisors Management - Basic Course [HUM-SUP-B]

Virtual Course
  Tests
  Case studies with experts
  Practical exercises
  Online collaboration
The skills required to supervise an operations room are very different from those needed to provide air traffic services. This course is designed to facilitate the transition of ATS staff to supervisory roles.
The course uses virtual classroom facilitation and teaching techniques to develop participants' knowledge of relevant subjects required to efficiently carry out  the job as a operational supervisor.
Topics such as the  role and responsibilities of the supervisor, communication, leadership, safety management, conflict management and managing change are addressed. An interactive virtual classroom learning environment combines theory and practice, enabling the participants to share experiences and learn from each other. Group exercises, brainstorming sessions, personality questionnaires, and discussions are used to enable participants to discover themselves and reflect on their own attitudes in the operational context.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be better equipped to take on the role of operation supervisor with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to enhance their performance.

Audience
This course is designed to facilitate the transition of ATS staff into supervisory roles. The course is equally designed for operational ATS staff newly appointed into supervisory roles. It may also be of interest to ATS staff with several years' experience in operational supervisory roles who wish to broaden their knowledge of matters affecting their work.
