This course is designed as an introduction to all aspects of safety management within air traffic management. Thus it aims to present the practical implementation of the SMS within an ATM service provider. The course provides practical examples and case studies to introduce participants to all elements of the SMS. The objective is to improve participants’ safety awareness in order to understand their safety roles and responsibilities within their own organisation.

This course delivers a sound foundation for other more specialised safety courses and it is strongly recommended that participants attend this course as the first step/course in acquiring their formal safety knowledge.
