This course is consistent with relevant ICAO/WMO and EU legislation in force. It addresses the main changes which the new regulation laying down common requirements for service providers and the oversight in ATM/ANS and other ATM network functions (based on EASA opinion 03/2014 and expected to repeal regulations No. 1035/2011, 1034/2011 and 482/2008), are bringing about, and will be consistent with the new regulation as soon as it is in force.
It provides a basic understanding on: - The structure of meteorological information services provision and the role in the ATM system - The applicable ICAO/WMO and EU regulatory framework - The role of NSA's in meteorological services oversight - Practical experience organising oversight on meteorological information services
At the end of the training participant will have a basic understanding of the organisation of meteorological information services, the position of meteorological information services in the ATM system, competency assessment of the staff involved and the framework of rules and requirements and the role of the NSA in oversight. Furthermore, the training participant will have the opportunity to gain some practise in oversight on meteorological information services.
Two major groups of target audience have been identified the NSA policy makers and the staff that will be asked to execute the oversights. The participants should be able to communicate well in English language.
Candidates passing the examination will receive a certificate of accomplishment. Other candidates will receive a certificate of attendance.
No fee applies for course participants from Member State Certified Organisations. The training cost is sponsored by the EUROCONTROL Work Programme. The price per course participant from other organisations or individuals is 600 EUR.
