The Practical Safety Assessment course builds on the knowledge taught on the Introduction to Safety Assessment course by undertaking practical safety assessment of a real change to the ATM/ANS system. The course covers all aspects of the safety assessment, from initial planning through to in-service monitoring and survey activities.
Introduction to Safety Assessment [SAF-SA1] or equivalent experience.
After completing the course, participants will be able to participate actively in a safety assessment of an ATM functional change in accordance with the relevant Implementing Rule (IR), Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) and Guidance Material (GM) within the EASA framework (Regulation (EC) No 216/2008).
This course is designed for the staff directly involved with safety assessment activities within an ANSP. Basic safety concepts shall be known (risk classification scheme, safety objective, safety requirement, assurance level, ...). Some experience in participating to Safety Assessment is highly recommended.
All candidates will receive a certificate of attendance.
No fee applies for course participants from Member States’ competent authorities and certified organisations. The training cost is sponsored by the EUROCONTROL Work Programme.
The price per course participant from other organisations or individuals is 1500 EUR.
