This is an advanced SASS-C course, based on the latest SASS-C version. Surveillance Analysis Support System for Centre (SASS-C) is a LINUX-based software product developed by EUROCONTROL to enable the performance of the various elements of the surveillance chain to be measured, particularly those supporting air traffic services in en-route airspace. SASS-C offers a way to evaluate the performance of the surveillance infrastructure, at either sensor or tracker level. As such, the tool plays a key role in evaluations in support of related SES regulations.
The course is designed to teach skills in the use of SASS-C, to optimize the evaluations and to achieve an in-depth understanding of the evaluation steps. The course utilises both theoretical and practical training sessions. Practical training sessions use an individual PC running the latest SASS-C version. Participants are invited to bring their own dataset for the practical sessions. Advanced topics include Track Analysis, reporting, ESASSP, display.
Overall understanding of the evolving surveillance environment
Completion of SUR-VERIF-INTRO course or similar knowledge from on-site experience
After having attended this course SASS-C users will be able:
to perform an in-depth analysis of the surveillance infrastructure, using SASS-C
to customizeSASS-C to optimize the evaluation
to appreciate the evaluation results in the regulatory context of surveillance (ESASSP)
Engineers who want to perform in-depth analysis/evaluation of surveillance sensors and SDPS
All candidates will receive a certificate of attendance.
