This course provides participants with a place to present their work (‘Part 2’) and get feedback from both the instructional team and other course participants.
A maximum of 8 topics may be presented during the course, by group of 1 to 3 participants maximum.
The presentations should not focus on the technical details of the specific change under review, but rather on:
the effective application of the key aspects of oversight of changes to the ATM/ANS functional system (including applicable regulatory requirements)
its added value
the difficulties encountered
the solutions implemented
the lessons learnt
The course duration may be adapted depending on the actual number of presentations.
The presentations must address the minimum content and satisfy the criteria against which they will be assessed by the instructional team, as described in the syllabus of the course.
There are 2 mandatory pre-requisites before attending the Part 3 course:
Successful completion of the relevant Part 1 course (LEX-CHG-OC-1)
Active participation in at least one of the following and development of a representation in accordance with the criteria/requirements described in the syllabus of this course:
Review of a notified change to the ATM/ANS functional system
Full review (and audit if appropriate) of the updated change management procedures submitted by a provider of ATM/ANS services (to ensure compliance with regulation 2016/1377 laying down common requirements for service providers and the oversight in ATM/ANS and other ATM network functions, and its AMC/GM, if appropriate
This course is consistent with regulation 2016/1377 laying down common requirements for service providers and the oversight in ATM/ANS and other ATM network functions (repealing Regulation No 482/2008, Implementing Regulations No 1034/2011 and No 1035/2011 and amending Regulation No 677/2011) and its Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) and Guidance Material (GM).
After presenting their work, participants will receive feedback (what went well, what can be improved, lessons learnt, etc.) from both the instructional team and the other course participants.
The course can be regarded as a forum of exchange of experiences, aiming at sharing good/best practices as well as ideas on how to address in an efficient way, issues relating to the implementation of regulation 2016/1377 laying down common requirements for service providers and the oversight in ATM/ANS and other ATM network functions, and its AMC/GM, when it comes to oversight of changes in ATM/ANS.
The aim is ultimately to support participants in applying the relevant processes in an efficient way, while ensuring the way they are applied adds value.
This course is designed for personnel working for a competent authority and involved in the oversight of changes to the ATM/ANS functional system.
Candidates passing the assessment(s) will receive a certificate of accomplishment. Other candidates will receive a certificate of attendance.
