This course enables airline staff members to participate in an aircraft accident and serious incident investigation in accordance with ICAO Annex 13 standards. Special attention is given to understanding the underlying causes of accidents and incidents in order to improve safety and prevent future occurrences.

This course is provided in code sharing with IATA.
Overall course objectives:- Raise awareness about the objectives of aircraft accident investigation, its origins and current practices - Gain knowledge on the global best practices applied by states, authorities and organizations around the world involved in accident and incident investigations - Learn about the types of accidents and serious incidents - Understand the role your airline and nominated staff should play when assisting the investigation of an accident - Identify the various workgroups and their roles in the investigation - Learn the rights of an airline as an operator in the compilation of the final report
