The Monitoring of Changes in ATM/ANS Part 1 course builds on the knowledge provided by the Management & Oversight of Changes in ATM/ANS course (SAF-CHG-Intro). The course covers all aspects of the safety monitoring of changes in operations. It addresses in particular issues relating to:
- the maintenance/update of safety cases and/or safety support cases
- the follow-up of safety requirements during operations
- the migration/move towards a unit safety dashboard/case.
Note: this course does not cover safety survey aspects which may be useful in the context of the monitoring of changes. Please refer to the SAF-SAS-1 course for more information.
Depending on the interest shown (a survey will be conducted at the end of each SAF-CHG-MC-1 course session), a follow-up course or workshop (Part 3) may be organised at a later stage, which will provide participants with an opportunity to present their experience in the monitoring of changes in ATM/ANS and/or in the maintenance/update of safety (support) cases, and to obtain feedback from the course instructors and other participants.
The SAF-CHG-Intro course must be successfully completed before attending this course.
Participants should be aware of their internal change management and maintenance processes. This information is usually part of the quality/safety management system of their organisation.
Completion of the SAF-CHG-AC-1 course would be helpful.
