IFPS Classroom [NMO-IFPS-ADV-C]

Classroom Course
The objective of this course is to obtain the theoretical background and practical training for the Integrated Initial Flight Plan Processing System (IFPS).
First part: Theoretical and interactive Web Based Training module via the internet, explaining the general principles for flight planning in IFPS and RPL. This module is a prerequisite before being allowed to register for the second part.
Second part: Classroom training at the Eurocontrol premises in Brussels - IFPS WBT review - Flight plan case studies - Visit to IFPS - Exercises using IFPUV - Future developments in Flight planning.
For the second part a maximum of two participants from one company per classroom course is allowed. - Minimum elapse time between 2 IFPS courses is 18 months.

It is advisable to combine this course with the CIAO [NMO-CIAO-ADV-C] or NOP [NMO-NOP-ADV-C] course on the next day followed by the ATFCM for AO [NMO-ATFCM-AO-C] course on the fourth day.
Prerequisites
A pre-requisite E-learning module exists for this course which must be completed before attending. "IFPS and Flight Planning E-learning"  NMO-IFPS-INTRO.
Objectives

Increase the level of understanding of IFPS, in particular:

-The different checking performed for FPLs and associated messages.
-The procedures applied by IFPS operators.

Increase the level of confidence and understanding in using the IFPUV for FPL validation, the Propose Routes and the submission function..

Audience
Anybody filing FPLs to IFPS.
Certificate awarded
All candidates will receive a certificate of attendance.

Price
No fee applies for course participants from world-wide airspace users and participants from Member States’ competent authorities and certified organisation. The training cost is sponsored by the EUROCONTROL Work Programme. The price per course participant from other organisations or individuals is 300 EUR.
