Surveillance Data Distribution System [SUR-SDDS]

Classroom Course
SDDS (Surveillance Data Distribution), the successor of the RMCDE, is the European state-of-the-art system for Surveillance Data Distribution and as such operational in an increasing number of European States. This course leads to a basic understanding of the SDD network architecture, and to basic skills in configuring and managing the SDDS. After a theoretical introduction on SDD in general (mainly the network and ASTERIX) and SDDS architecture, one day and a half is spent on practical exercises, i.e. installing, configuring, monitoring and maintenance of the system.
Prerequisites
Basic understanding of Surveillance and G/G Data Communication
Objectives
After completing the course, participants will be able to:  
- explain the principles of a SDD Network
- describe the architecture of a SDD Network  
- perform essential configuration actions on the SDDS
- perform essential monitoring actions on the SDDS
- perform essential maintenance actions on the SDDS
Audience
This course is designed for engineers and technicians who are or will be involved in Surveillance Data Distribution.
Certificate awarded
All candidates will receive a certificate of attendance.
